What Amazon prohibits
- Offering any reward in exchange for a review — or for a positive review specifically.
- Reviewing your own products, or asking family, friends or employees to.
- Asking a customer to change or remove their review, with or without a refund.
- Selectively asking only customers you believe had a good experience.
What Amazon allows
- Neutrally asking any customer to share their honest experience.
- Package inserts that ask for a review without conditioning a reward on it.
- Rewards for actions unrelated to the review — warranty registration, feedback surveys, support sign-ups.
The grey area that gets sellers suspended
Most enforcement isn't against sellers buying fake reviews — it's against inserts whose wording ties a gift to a review ("free gift for a 5-star review"), or funnels that only show the Amazon link to happy customers. Both read as innocent marketing to many sellers; both are account-level violations.
How ReviewBuddie keeps you on the right side
Claim flows never branch on rating, promotion copy is pre-screened against marketplace wording rules, and rewards attach to claim completion — never to the review itself.
